2011 Tri-Con CALL FOR ABSTRACTS Deadline is Feb. 15, 2011 @ 11:59 PM

The Tri-Association Conference is now accepting abstracts for technical and research presentations for 2011. The conference will be held at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, MD, August 30 – September 2, 2011.

This year, abstracts will only be accepted through an on-line submission process. This new on-line system is user friendly, and provides full support if you have questions or encounter difficulties. It will also simplify the Tri-Con Program Committee’s challenges of distribution and review of roughly 200 abstracts!

CLICK HERE to enter the system, and begin the submission process! You will be able to save your work and return to complete it at any time before the due date.

SUBMISSIONS MUST BE COMPLETED BY FEBRUARY 15TH, AT 11:59 pm.

Abstracts will be accepted in the following categories: · Research · Small Systems Operators · Water Quality · Water Distribution · Collection Systems · Biosolids/Residuals Treatment · Plant O&M · Water Reuse · Utility Management · International Development · Stormwater Management

CSAWWA is NOW accepting Operator of the Year Award Nominations 

Deadline: March 1, 2011

 

Do you work with an awesome operator that you wish to recognize?  Would you like them to receive a free one-year AWWA/CSAWWA membership renewal?  If so, why not nominate them for the 2010 Operator of the Year award?  One outstanding operator will receive this award at the 2011 Tri-Association Conference, August 30 – September 2, 2011, in Ocean City, MD.  Don’t wait – the deadline is March 1, 2011.  Please click here for the nomination form.

 


 

Call For Abstracts: Water Distribution System BMPs for Water Quality 

Abstracts Due January 28, 2011

 

The CSAWWA Water Quality Committee is looking to have presentation abstracts submitted for an upcoming seminar on Water Distribution BMPs for Water Quality. The seminar is planned to take place on April 7, 2011. Abstracts should demonstrate that they are oriented towards distribution system operations, highlight water quality benefits and fit into one of the following topic areas:

 

1. Flushing programs (UDF vs. Conventional Flushing).

2. Maintenance programs (Valve, Hydrant, etc…).

3. Break repair BMP’s to minimize contaminant risk.

4. Benefits of leak detection (economic and water quality).

5. Cross connection control.

6. Construction quality control.

7. Water age management using distribution system operations.
