Committee Members And Organization
The Committee Chair shall be appointed by the Section Chair. A Vice Chair shall be appointed by the Committee Chair with the advice and consent of the Section Chair Elect. The Vice Chair may succeed the outgoing Committee Chair subject to the approval of the Section Chair. The Committee shall consist of the Chair, Vice Chair and a minimum of three (3) members to be selected by the Committee Chair.
This committee shall be responsible for the promotion of high quality customer service practices for Section members in the water supply industry and other utilities. The committee shall use a variety of media to support the advancement of principles and techniques necessary to maintain favorable relations with customers and the general pubic. The committee shall develop programs which cover the wide variety of aspects involved with customer service oriented work. Efforts shall be made o stress the vital importance of the delivery of exceptional service to our customers, and to help spread a positive perception of our industry among all water customers. Activities of the committee may include the following:
1) Sponsor training seminar(s) related to customer service for the Section annual meeting technical program and one-day programs where possible.
2) Develop and distribute articles or items to promote satisfying customer service practices.
3) Assist AWWA National and neighboring sections’ Customer Service Committees to promote training and education material in the area of customer service.
4) Network with other utilities and businesses locally to provide a wide range of available offerings of training programs.
